Old Whiskey barrels
Great find of old whiskey barrels
There has been a real shortage of old whiskey barrels for the last few years, so when we were offered a large batch straight from the distillery, we jumped at the chance. Our yard now looks like a backdrop to an old Whiskey Galore movie
The salvaged whiskey barrels came from the world renowned Scottish distillery “Glenfiddich”. Having stored whiskey during there lifespan, most of these reclaimed whiskey barrels contain just a little whisky that has seeped back out of the oak timbers. In fact, you can hear it swishing around inside when you move some of the old barrels. Obviously any whiskey residue wont be safe to drink due to contamination, nevertheless, the smell is absolutely delightful and a real talking point for those who have came to buy them
