Reclaimed York Stone Paving Stone and Slabs - A very hard durable material which has been used for flooring for over 1000 years. A fine example of York stone floors can be found in Lincoln Cathedral, England. York stone paving slabs really came to the fore during the Industrial Revolution when it was used extensively for the floors of the vast Cotton and Linen Mills and associated workers cottages.

Reclaimed Welsh Pennant Paving Stone and Slabs - An incredibly hard wearing stone, which is part of the granite family. It was most commonly found in the floors and paths of the Welsh Chapels that sprang up during 18th and 19th centuries to service the mining families of the Welsh Valleys. Welsh Pennant paving slabs are extremely rare and are subject to availability.

Freshly Quarried York Stone Paving Stone and Slabs - A very hard durable material which has been used for flooring for over 1000 years. York stone paving has been used in projects as diverse Cathedrals, to Linen Mills to Workers Cottages and. As well as our Reclaimed York Stone listed above, we also offer freshly quarried York Stone that has the same colour variation but with a standard thickness, which may suit certain projects.

Black Limestone Paving Stone - Black Limsetone is one of the most durable natural stone paving products available. It is non porous, oil-resistant and shows high resistance in freezing and thawing conditions whilst providing a consistent colour.

Black Limestone was use extensively in grand flooring projects such as Railway Stations, Courts and Banks during the 19th and 20th centuries.

Its popularity in part is due to the ease with which it can be cut to size and shape. It also makes a striking contrast when placed beside lighter coloured paving stones.

This gives you the scope to create a personalised path or patio.

Black Limestone Paving Stone and Slabs


Reclaimed Quarry Tiles - Used extensively from the mid 19th century onwards as floor tiling in the Wool and Linen Mills of Ireland. Quarry Tiles were also used in the yards and kitchens of the Mill worker's and farmer's cottages. Today they are being used again to spectacular effect in both period and modern homes. These beautifully aged tiles are available in a range of sizes and colours:

Depending on what you plan to use your Paving Flagstones for, Wilsons can recommend professionals who have worked closely with us on many projects to assist you with planning and installation of your Paving Stones.

Be aware that unfinished Quarry Tiles will need to be cleaned and waxed to achieve the finish illustrated in the associated pictures. We can discuss this with your installer if required.
