Geoff and I found a couple of these quirky retro 1960's hanging wicker seats recently and had to buy them.

 Every time I look at them I either imagine seeing a James Bond villain stroking a cat, or someone from the 1960's sitting reading a book and chilling.

Here is an example of how doors can really make a statement as well as obviously being a functional

This Client met with me last year at an early stage of her build and wanted some dramatic doors to tie in with the vision she had for her new home.

We spent some time choosing the best door design to complement the "look" she wished to achieve.  Together we decided appropriate door furniture, colour and the finish that would tie in with the other key features in the customers design. The customer was delighted with the outcome and sent in this picture. I hope you agree that the outcome looks great!

The Customer made this fireplace / stove surround from our reclaimed Belfast brick, reclaimed waxed beams and corbel. All these items and lots more ideas are available at your Yard.

A customer has just sent this picture in of a feature chimney she had built with our reclaimed brick, when building her new home.  I personally think it looks fantastic, really dramatic.

We supply thousands of reclaimed brick every year for all types and sizes of projects. These could be used for things like:-

·       Building a complete house with reclaimed brick

·       Building a walled garden with reclaimed brick

·       Using reclaimed brick to making a chimney to house a stove or to make an inglenook fireplace

We have acquired a consignment of exquisite Cidermill Oak at a discounted price. Its usually priced at £79.00 + vat per y2, but while stocks last, we can offer you this floor at £67.00+ vat per y2.

It comes in a rich dark colour, warm honey tone and a natural finish and has a very tactile, interesting role top finish.

This floor comes semi finished e.g. after laying your floor it needs a light sanding just to provide a key for the sealer to adhere too and then it is finished with one coat of sealer – both the sanding pads and sealer are provided within the price.

She got a few things; one being a very big knocker for her front door.

It can be very difficult to get big door knockers and standard size knockers can look lost on a large door. The lady very kindly sent these pictures in to show us how it turned out (thanks Shirley)

With spring just about on us, lots of us are all starting to think about getting out into the garden.

I been watching a repeat of good old Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s  show on TV  and he was making  raised vegetable patches with reclaimed scaffolding planks.

Some friends of ours did this a couple of years ago and get a lot of pleasure out of it plus nice fresh vegetables.

Just like Hugh, they said it was really simple to do and that the reclaimed scaffolding planks are really sturdy, look great  and will last for ages.
