The Alice Bear Collection - The Medieval Dogs of Wrath

Aptly named, these fearsome mythical dogs, holding a shield as a symbol of protection were, like other such carvings, carved in dark oak and used in times past as stair finials to ward of evil spirits, protecting the members of the house hold while they slept.
